Our adventure club was designed, introduced and delivered by one of our young instructors in 2014. His enthusiasm, energy and passion has supported club members from balmy summer evenings to stormy winter weather.
The whole ethos of the club is to have fun and Kai, club leader, is adamant that this won’t change. Yes, you will learn things and yes, you will face challenges but if you’re not having fun then our instructors are not doing their jobs right.
Each week is different, you could be doing anything from kayaking in the bay, to swimming through the caves, to shelter building in the forest. The sea wall and steps at Freshwater Bay has proved a very popular choice in rougher conditions. Fully kitted out with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, the challenge of jumping in choppy seas, or being washed off the steps by a , just becomes fun, safe and achievable.
All equipment is included including wetsuits, buoyancy aids, mountain boards, kayaks etc. All you will need to bring is swimming gear, towel, old shoes/trainers and some warm outdoor clothing.
Cost £4.50 for 2016. Bookings in advance 1/2 termly.
