Our Isle of Wight Bushcraft introductions are run by a Bushcraft specialist who has years of experience in outdoor living and teaching bushcraft. We utalise the best locations on the Isle of Wight for our Bushcraft courses. We provide all the equipment you need, and even the food and drink for you to experiment with on the fires that you will make using traditional methods – no matches here! This is an ideal family activity whatever the weather. You’ll build a shelter together and then learn to make fires. You can relax together enjoying some food and drink that you have made. Climbing Adventures on the Isle of Wight. Do you want to try rock climbing in a safe atmosphere with friendly instructors? Our introduction to Climbing will introduce you to challenge of climbing, but as slowly and as gently as you want. If you feel like you want to do some harder climbing, or you are in a mixed group, don't worry our experienced instructors will find plenty to challenge you. For your Climbing Adventure, you will meet us at our base at our Tapnell adventure centre. Your instructor will greet you, explain what is going to happen and then get you kitted out for your 1 hour climbing adventure. You will be given a top quality climbing equipment. Family Kayaking on the Isle of Wight. Have fun paddling under cliffs, visiting caves and sheltered bays? Maybe, if you choose to, surfing ocean waves or riding the swells through the gaps in the cliff walls. The aim of these two hour activities is a fun and safe introduction to kayaking in a stunning location, with family, friends or meeting new people who have a similar interest. This is our Adventure Kayaking but for families with younger children. We have a higher staff ratio and tailor the adventure to younger families who want to have fun on the water with everyone. MTBing is the perfect adventure for gravity lovers. Experience off road fun on a series of slopes, jumps and berms that will entice the novices and challenge the more experienced. Think 'skatepark' with softer edges! Our instructors will offer you guidance on turns, stopping and falling safely, then its up to you! There is a novice slope where you can get the hang of it, then you can progress onto the steeper slopes, the moguls and the jumps.
